We use two kinds of reliable tests. We have selected these test after diligent research; in our opinion we offer the best tests around and guarantee they will be executed with care. We want to not only test but also take an anamnesis (questionnaire) to create a better case of our clients. We will review our cases and test results with professionals from inside and outside our organisation, with the consent of our clients.
The Covid-19 tests we offer
1. Testing for presence of COVID-19 (PCR-test)
This test is wil determine if you are currently carrying the virus. At the moment this test is needed to be able to fly into certain countries. If you are travelling and you need proof that you are not carrying the COVID-19 virus you will need to take a PCR-test. This reliable PCR covid-19 test will be taken by one of our specialized travel health nurses through a swab of the mucous membrane of the nose and throat. A PCR test will be examined in a laboratory, you will receive the result within 2 days per e-mail. The document you will receive per e-mail will have be dated as this is required for travel. There are multiple countries that require a PCR test. Consult the website of the RIVM and Rijksoverheid for the most up to date information.
The result of the PCR test is valid for a limited time, plan your apointment shortly before departure. We ask you to plan an appointment for a PCR test by calling us at 085 902 03 03. You can reach us during office hours. For urgencies outside of office hours call : 085-0221566 .
Price of the PCR test including consultation: 148,00 euro.
A PCR test is being done in a laboratory. Laboratory tests are covered by Dutch health insurances and sometimes foreign insurance. You will have to pay ‘out of pocket’ first. Check your health insurance before maling an appointment if you are eligible for a refund.
2. Testing for antibodies for COVID-19
There are two ways of testing for antibodies on COVID-19 by means of a blood test:
- Serological blood testing where blood will be drawn from a vein. This serological test has been validated by the RIVM and is a very sensitive and reliable test. The result will take 2 – 5 days. Persons who suspect they’ve had COVID-19 will choose the serological test because it is most sensitive. Price of the serological test including consultation: 58,00 euro. A serological blood test is being done in a laboratory. Laboratory tests are covered by Dutch health insurances and sometimes foreign insurance. You will have to pay ‘out of pocket’ first. Check your health insurance before maling an apointment if you are eligible for a refund.
- COVID-19 Rapid test where you will have a result within 15 minutes. This test will be done by fingerstick, a drop of blood will be taken from the finger and added to the rapid test. This test is being done by persons who need a fast result. This test is less reliable and sensitive than the serological blood test mentioned before. Price of the COVID-19 Rapid test: 59,95 including consultation. This is not a laboratory test and might not be covered by health insurance.
